Wind Sensor

A few people have been talking about wind / breath pressure sensors recently. I've seen this one used effectively before:

The Singing Ringing Tree

I know I talked about this sound sculpture a million times, but I wanted to post a video link of it for people to watch it without me stopping it after 15 seconds.

One of the compelling aspects of this sculpture is that wind is unpredictable.  Also, having lots of different pipes made this art so intriguing visually and sonically.  If the artist only used few pipes, it wouldn't have been as dramatic.  So, I would like to use multiple pipes (rather than just one as I initially thought).    

Since this sparked my idea for the instrument, I have to become interesting and as unpredictable as the wind.  I will start thinking more about how I can perform in a more interesting way with spinning/rotating pipes.

also in my search for ideas and brainstorming i came across an artist who is amazing. he is a fashion designer named Nick Cave and he makes "sound suits" (they do make sound when you move in them, originally designed to be used with dance) that look incredible, this might not be directly related to our class because there aren't electronics used, but just the visual design i found very inspiring…so yeah google him if you get a chance!
