I've drawing more inspiration for my bowing gesture instrument from the nail violin. One thing that I'm thinking about is how the arrangement of the instrument is circular. The possibility of also arranging actual pitches into some kind of circle might be an interesting possibility to keep in mind when exploring the orientation of pitches in building an instrument.
